Estima Tire pressure warning

Thanks for the quick response! The light is constantly on, it doesn't blink. I haven't changed the tires recently, and as I said, the pressure seems OK. What exactly does the sensor malfunction mean? Is there a way to fix it myself, or should I go to a professional?

Okay, a solid light usually indicates that one or more of the sensors are sending incorrect data or not sending data at all. The most common reason for this on a car of that age, especially given the symptoms, is likely a dead sensor battery. These sensors have a limited lifespan. Replacing the sensor involves removing the tire, dismounting it from the rim, replacing the sensor (making sure it's compatible with your Estima!), re-mounting the tire, balancing the wheel, and then programming the new sensor to your car's computer. Honestly, unless you're experienced with tire work and have the necessary tools and a TPMS programming tool, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop.

Thanks a lot for your help and the detailed explanation! I took it to the workshop, and you were right. It was the sensor battery. The repair cost me 280€. They replaced the faulty sensor, and everything is working fine now.

Hey there! That sounds like a TPMS issue. Is the low tire pressure light constantly on, or does it blink for a while before staying solid? A blinking light often indicates a sensor malfunction rather than just low pressure. Also, have you had your tires changed recently? Sometimes, if the sensors weren't properly reset or were damaged during a tire change, it can cause problems.
