Etios battery sensor issue

My 2019 Toyota Etios with a gasoline engine has 123645 km on it and a heavily discharged battery. I'm getting an error message on the speedometer, weak/flickering lights, and a low voltage error code. The battery seems weak when starting. I suspect a defective battery sensor. Anyone else seen this with their Etios?

I had a similar problem with my Etios. Check the battery sensor; that was the culprit in my case. Were you getting any other weird electrical issues?

Besides those symptoms, I haven't seen anything else electrical. Could you tell me more about the issues you had, and did the battery sensor replacement fix everything?

Yep, battery sensor. After replacing it, all the issues disappeared. If you're getting those same symptoms, I'd bet that's it. I'd suggest getting it checked at a workshop.

Thanks for confirming the battery sensor. I took it to a workshop, and it was indeed defective. The repair was 315€ including parts and labor. The issue is resolved now. Thanks again for your help.
