So, you're saying to check the wiring and connections related to the damping system? Could you tell me where exactly I should be looking? I'm not really a mechanic, so any specific pointers would be really helpful.

Okay, so on my Astra, it was near the shock absorber itself. Look for any obvious signs of damage – frayed wires, loose connections. Honestly, if you're not comfortable working on the suspension system, I would highly suggest taking it to a workshop. Suspension tuning can be tricky, and if something goes wrong, it can be dangerous. As I mentioned before, it sounds like a similar issue and it might be worth checking out to see if that helps resolve the issue!

Thanks a lot for the advice! I checked the connections as best as I could, but I think you're right, it's probably best left to the professionals. I took it to the workshop, and it turned out to be a defective cable connection, just like you said! Repair cost me around 95€. I really appreciate your help!

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. The error code pointed towards a faulty sensor in the suspension system, and the ride was terrible! Have you checked the cable and plug connections of the damping control components? That's where the issue was with mine. Apparently, a defective connection is a pretty common cause.
