Thanks for the quick response! It only affects the driver's side door. Is there any way to check the wiring harness myself, or is it something that needs special equipment?

Right, driver's door only points even more to the wiring. Honestly, unless you're pretty confident with electrics, I wouldn't poke around too much. You could accidentally short something and make it worse. Given it's throwing an error code too, best bet is probably to get it checked out by a workshop. They can pinpoint the exact cause. It could be a defective cable or plug connection of the component

Alright, thanks for the advice. Took it to the shop, and you were spot on! Turned out to be a faulty connection in the door wiring. Cost me about 95€ to get it fixed. Appreciate the help!

Sounds like a pain! I had a similar thing happen on my old Renault – turned out to be a dodgy connection in the door. Does it affect all the doors, or just one? If it's just one door, it's very likely the wiring harness in the door jam where it flexes every time you open and close the door. Could also be the door handle electronics, but that's less common.
