Etios Sunroof Not Initialized Error

Hi, I've got a weird one with my 2013 Toyota Etios diesel. The sunroof's throwing a "not initialized" error. The sunblind is stuck and the convertible top is completely unresponsive, won't open or close at all. I suspect it's due to some coding that was carried out. Anyone seen this before? Feels like the car's brain has had a bit of a reboot gone wrong!

I own an Etios myself, and I recall experiencing something similar a while back. Was the sunblind also failing to respond to the controls?

Yes, that's right. The sunblind is completely unresponsive. Did your Etios exhibit the exact same symptoms? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Indeed, the symptoms match what I encountered. I strongly suggest consulting with a workshop, as the cause of the issue may be related to the vehicle's coding. It's always better to consult with a professional when dealing with issues like this, or you can end up with even bigger problems.

Thanks for confirming, I took your advice and went to the workshop. Turns out, the sunroof just needed recalibrating after the coding changes. Cost me 75€ and it's working perfectly now. Appreciate the help!
