Evalia Fault Code After Chip Tuning
Summary of the thread
The conversation revolves around a 2016 Nissan Evalia experiencing reduced engine power and a fault code after chip tuning by a third-party provider. The problem likely stems from faulty chip tuning, with potential causes including poor insulation or internal chip damage. The error appeared intermittently a few weeks after the chip tuning. I haven't done a detailed inspection of the car computer beyond verifying the chip installation. What specific signs of tampering should I be looking for?

In my case, the connections around the chip were poorly insulated. However, since the issue arose weeks later, it's more probable that some internal damage to the chip has occurred over time. At this point, the only viable solution is to have your car checked at a workshop.

Thank you. I took it to the workshop, and it turned out to be a faulty chip. The repair cost was 180€. I appreciate your help with this engine issue.

I also own an Evalia and had a similar issue. Did the error appear immediately after the chip tuning, or did it appear later? Have you checked the car computer for any obvious signs of tampering beyond the chip itself?
