Everest ABS Lateral Sensor Fault

Has anyone experienced intermittent ABS lamp illumination and ABS failure in their 2021 Ford Everest diesel? A diagnostic scan shows an error related to the lateral acceleration sensor, and the vehicle has 142450 km. I suspect a defective control unit. Any similar issues with the electronic stability control system or lateral sensor?

I had something similar happen with my Everest. The ABS light would come on randomly. It turned out to be a sensor issue. Was the diagnostic scan detailed enough to pinpoint the exact sensor?

The scan indicated a fault within the lateral acceleration sensor circuit, but not whether the sensor or wiring is at fault. Was your issue specifically the lateral acceleration sensor, or a different sensor within the ABS system? Trying to determine the scope of the repair.

Yep, mine was the lateral acceleration sensor. If I remember correctly, the workshop told me that affected control units are often defective. I'd get it checked out by a qualified workshop sooner rather than later. Safety first!

Thanks for confirming it was the lateral acceleration sensor. Based on your experience and the diagnostic info, I'll schedule an inspection of the sensor and control unit with a trusted workshop. I also received a quote for around 1000€, so this seems on track. Thanks again!
