Expedition tire pressure sensor fault
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Ford Expedition owner experienced a persistent 'Tire pressure too low' warning despite manually verifying correct tire pressure. The issue was identified as a sensor fault, likely due to dead sensor batteries after extensive use. It was suggested to check for corrosion on the air valves, but the problem was confirmed to be the sensor batteries. Replacing all four sensors resolved the issue.

I haven't specifically checked the air valve for corrosion, but that's a good point. I'll take a look. As for the readings, it's reporting low pressure on all four tires intermittently. Does that still sound like a sensor issue or something else?

If it's happening on all four intermittently, and you've verified the actual pressure with a gauge, it really does point to a sensor problem. Given the age, it's likely the batteries. Best to get them checked professionally at a workshop.

That confirms my suspicion. I took it to the shop, and you were right, the sensor batteries were dead. Replaced all four sensors for 280€ and the error is gone. Appreciate the help!

Sounds plausible. Have you tried checking the air valve itself for any corrosion or damage? Sometimes a faulty valve can cause similar issues. Are all four tires showing the same pressure reading in the system, or is it just one?
