Expert central locking malfunction

Central locking on my 2023 Peugeot Expert electric has stopped working. Neither the remote nor the internal switch operates the door locks. The car's error memory shows a locking mechanism error. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone else seen this?

I had a similar issue with my Expert, although it presented a little differently. The remote locking was intermittent. Did you check the fuses? Also, does the car alarm still work normally?

I have checked the fuses, and they seem fine. The car alarm is still functioning correctly, which is perplexing. How was your problem eventually resolved? Was it indeed a cable or plug issue as I suspect?

In my case, it was a corroded connector in the door wiring loom. The garage identified it quickly enough. Given that your alarm is still functional, it sounds like a localised issue with the door locking circuits. I'd suggest having it checked by a qualified workshop; they will diagnose it properly.

Thanks for the confirmation and advice. It seems best to get a professional diagnosis. I will schedule an appointment with a workshop and post the resolution. It turned out to be a defective connection and cost 95€ to repair.
