Expert ECU Programming Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Peugeot Expert diesel is experiencing electrical issues, with a general electrical malfunction and non-functional navigation. Diagnostics indicate the control unit programming is implausible. Possible causes include a manufacturing defect, power surge, or interference. A workshop visit for a diagnostic check and software reset is suggested as a solution.

The report says general ECU config fault, but the error code isn't very helpful. No recent work that I know of. What could cause the ECU programming to become implausible like this?

Corrupted ECU programming can happen a few ways: manufacturing defect, power surge, or even interference. It's not common for it to just happen. The dead navigation points to a central control module issue. Without a specific error code, I'd suggest a workshop visit for a software reset.

Understood. Thanks. I'll book a workshop visit for a diagnostic check and software reset. Repair is estimated at 240€.

Interesting. What error codes are you seeing for 'implausible programming'? Has the van had any recent electrical work or control module reflashes? That might help narrow it down. A software reset could fix it, but we need to know why the programming got corrupted.
