Expert Rail Pressure Sensor Fault

My 2015 Peugeot Expert, gasoline engine, is throwing up some strange errors. Mileage is at 274566 km. The check engine light illuminates intermittently, accompanied by stalling at idle and a distinct reduction in engine power. I've scanned the OBD and it's flagging a faulty rail pressure sensor signal. Given the symptoms, it seems like the pressure sensor itself is the prime suspect. Has anyone else encountered similar issues, especially with this engine?

Oh dear, that sounds nasty. I have a Peugeot Expert as well, though I'm not sure if it's the exact same gasoline engine. I once had something similar happen – the check engine light came on, and the van seemed very sluggish. Could it be related to dirty fuel or the fuel filter?

Thanks for the quick response. I appreciate the thought. The fuel filter was changed recently, so I can probably rule that out. Could you recall what your final resolution was? Did it involve the fuel rail or high-pressure fuel system in any way?

To be honest with you, no. I took mine to a workshop and they immediately found out it was the pressure sensor. So I am unsure about further details regarding the fuel rail. Given your readings already point to the sensor, I would recommend getting it to a trusted mechanic.

Right, makes sense. I've ordered a new pressure sensor; repair cost is about 240€. Thanks for confirming my suspicions and sharing your experience; I will post a resolution once I've swapped it out and tested it.
