Falcon ECU Issues

My 2007 Ford Falcon with a gasoline engine is giving me headaches. It's got about 144k on the clock. Getting reduced engine power, and the error memory is showing ECU issues. Suspecting a defective main relay. Anyone seen this before? Could it be anything else?

Sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my Falcon a while back. Is it throwing any specific error codes? Have you checked the usual suspects like battery voltage and connections?

Yeah, it's throwing a code related to the ECU. Battery seems fine, connections look clean. What was the final fix on your Falcon?

Turned out to be a faulty ECU relay, just like you suspected. I'd suggest getting it properly diagnosed at a workshop, but sounds like you might be on the right track. Better safe than sorry with these things, eh?
