Cheers for the reply! Where exactly were you looking around the injectors? Was it obvious that the cable/plug was defective? And I haven't scanned for codes yet, will do that tomorrow!

No worries! Yeah, it was one of the injector plugs. I remember now, I disconnected it and one of the pins was corroded as hell. Honestly, if you're not sure, get it to a workshop. Could be a few things causing those symptoms, and it's better to be safe.

You nailed it! I took it to the shop, and they reckon it was exactly what you said - a dodgy connection to one of the injectors. They cleaned it up, all good now. Cost me 95€, so not too bad. Thanks for the help!

I had something similar with my Falcon. I didn't note any smoke, but the fuel consumption was terrible and the engine felt rough. Have you checked all the cable and plug connections around the injectors? That's where my problem was in the end. Before that, have you got the fault codes? Maybe something like a air leak.
