Fiat 124 Airbag Light

Fiat 124, 2020, gasoline engine, 45k km. Airbag light is on. I'm assuming it's a bad connection. Has anyone seen this before?

Summary of the thread

The airbag light on a 2020 Fiat 124 was illuminated, suspected to be due to a bad connection. A suggestion was made to check the crash sensor plug connections, typically located near the front behind the bumper. It was advised to consult a workshop due to the risks involved with airbags. The issue was confirmed to be a defective plug, which was replaced, resolving the problem.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

I had a similar issue with my 124. The airbag warning lamp lit up. Did you check the crash sensors? Specifically the plug connections there?

Crash sensors? Where exactly are those located? I'm betting that's it...

They're usually near the front, behind the bumper. Honestly, messing with airbags can be risky. Is it worth potentially making things worse? I'd suggest a workshop. Mine ended up being a dodgy connection and cost peanuts to fix, 95€. Good luck!

Workshop confirmed a defective plug. Replaced and all good. 95€ as predicted.
