Fiat 124 Fog Sensor and System Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Fiat 124 Spider is experiencing a fog sensor error, leading to issues with the AC, spray nozzles, and mirror heating. The problem may be caused by a bad cable or plug, potentially resulting in a short circuit. A similar case revealed that corrosion in the wiring harness connection to the sensor was the culprit. The recommended solution is to inspect and repair any corroded connections, which resolved the issue in this instance.

Thanks. When you say wiring harness, is there a specific connector or area that's prone to damage or corrosion? Or was the problem obvious?

For me, the problem was where the harness connects to the sensor. It looked fine at first, but there was corrosion. Given your symptoms, you should probably take it to a shop. They'll be able to find the problem faster.

Thanks for the advice. I had it checked, and it was a corroded connection like you said. The repair was 95€.

I own a Fiat 124 and had similar issues last year. A bad fog sensor can cause a lot of problems since it's tied to other systems. Have you checked the wiring harness near the sensor?
