Fiat 124 speed signal fault

Thanks! Did you experience complete ABS failure and traction control issues, or just the speedometer and ABS kicking in? How did you isolate the sensor as the problem?

Yes, it eventually progressed to complete ABS failure and traction control issues. I wasn't able to isolate the sensor. I would suggest you go directly to a professional workshop.

Appreciate the insight! It ended up being a defective control unit, as suspected. Cost around 1000€ to repair. Thanks again for the help!

I had similar symptoms on my 124. The ABS would kick in randomly, and the speedometer would sometimes drop to zero. Have you checked the ABS sensors? It might also be related to the transmission speed sensor.
