Thanks for the quick reply! When you say control unit, do you mean the main ABS module, or something else related to the transmission? Was it throwing any specific error codes that pointed you in that direction? I'm trying to avoid just throwing parts at it.

Yes, I am referring to the main ABS module. Unfortunately, I do not recall the exact error codes, but the workshop confirmed that the speed signal fault was due to a defective control unit. I recommend taking it to a reputable shop to get a proper diagnostic.

Appreciate the insight. Looks like I'll have to bite the bullet and take it in. I was hoping to avoid it, but it sounds like the control unit is the likely culprit, and that's beyond my skillset to diagnose properly. I've been quoted around 1000€ for the repair, which seems steep, but if it fixes the ABS and traction issues, it'll be worth it. Thanks again for sharing your experience!

I had a similar issue with my Fiat 500 a while back. Same symptoms - ABS light, traction control going haywire, the works. Did you manage to check the control unit? In my case, that was the culprit. It was a defective unit throwing everything off.
