Fiat 500 Air Suspension Fault

I'm having trouble with my 2019 Fiat 500 gasoline. It's got about 97k km on the clock. The air suspension seems to have completely given up. The car's sitting really low, and I've noticed it's leaning to one side a bit. I'm also getting an error message on the dash and a warning light. Plus, the headlights seem to be pointing way too high or low. I scanned for codes and got an error related to the air suspension compressor. I've had a look at the wiring and plugs around the compressor, but couldn't see any obvious damage. Anyone else had similar issues?

Summary of the thread

The 2019 Fiat 500 is experiencing an air suspension fault, causing the car to sit low and lean to one side, with an error message and warning light on the dashboard. The issue is linked to an error related to the air suspension compressor. A possible cause is a faulty connection or plug at the compressor. The suggested solution is to thoroughly check and secure all connections, and if unresolved, seek professional repair, which in this case involved fixing a defective cable or plug connection.

Wow, that sounds familiar! I had almost the EXACT same thing happen with my 500 not too long ago. The leaning was the first thing I noticed, then the warnings started popping up. To be honest, I'm not that mechanically minded, but did you check ALL the connections thoroughly? I mean, really give them a wiggle and a push to make sure they're solid?

Yeah, I tried wiggling the plugs, but maybe I wasn't thorough enough. When you say 'all the connections,' do you mean just the ones at the compressor, or are there others I should be looking for as well? Was it a tricky fix for you?

Well, I only fiddled with the ones at the compressor myself because that's all I could find! It turned out I couldn't fix it myself. If the wiggling doesn't do anything I would take it to a workshop. They found a dodgy connection, fixed or replaced it, and it was sorted in no time! Better safe than sorry, I reckon.

Okay, thanks for the info. Sounds like it's probably best to get it checked out by a professional. I just got the repair bill - it was the cable or plug connection of the component defective. Cost me 95€, so nothing crazy. Thanks again!
