Fiat 500 fuel level sensor fault
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Fiat 500 diesel is experiencing a check engine light and stalling at idle, attributed to a fuel level sensor fault. The issue is confirmed by error memory, and the owner is unsure about a fuse for the sensor. A similar case suggests the problem is likely with the fuel level sensor itself, not a fuse. The recommended solution is to take the car to a workshop, where the sensor can be replaced, resolving the issue effectively.

Interesting! When you say similar, did you also have the fuel level sensor fault code specifically? And what did you do about it?

Yep, same code! I tried fiddling with it myself, but honestly, I was in over my head. I took it to a workshop, and they sorted it out quickly. Saved me a ton of time and frustration. I really suggest you do the same.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to the shop as you suggested, and you were spot on. Turned out to be the fuel level sensor itself. Total cost was 52€, parts and labor. Runs like a charm now!

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had similar weirdness with my 500. Check engine light, stalling… the works! I am thinking it could be the fuel level sensor itself. I am guessing it isn't a fuse.
