Fiat 500 GPS Navigation Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Fiat 500 owner is experiencing issues with the GPS navigation system, which fails to receive a GPS signal and stores an error in the memory. The suspected cause is a defective GPS antenna. Another Fiat 500 owner with similar symptoms confirmed that the issue was resolved by replacing the GPS antenna. It is suggested to have the vehicle checked by a workshop to diagnose and potentially replace the antenna.

Could you please elaborate on how you resolved the issue? Was it indeed the GPS antenna, or was there another underlying cause?

In my case, the problem was indeed the GPS antenna. The error was persistent, and after a diagnostic check, it was confirmed. The repair cost me around 200€. Given your symptoms, I'd advise getting it checked by a workshop.

I appreciate the information. I will schedule an appointment with a workshop to have the GPS antenna inspected. Knowing that it was the likely culprit in your case provides a helpful starting point. Thank you for your assistance.

I have a Fiat 500 as well, and I had similar symptoms. The navigation system completely failed to acquire a GPS signal, and the error memory also reported a fault. It could be the GPS antenna, but car electronics can be fickle.
