Fiat Bravo Overheating Bypass Valve Error
Summary of the thread
A 2001 Fiat Bravo with a diesel engine is experiencing an overheating issue and a bypass valve error stored in the error memory. The problem could be due to various factors, such as a faulty thermostat or air intake issues. A workshop visit is recommended for proper diagnostics, as the bypass valve error might be a consequential error from the overheating. Upon visiting a workshop, it was confirmed that the bypass valve error was indeed consequential, and no repair was needed.

I haven't observed any coolant leaks. What could cause the error in your experience?

It could be many things, from a faulty thermostat to an issue with the air intake. I'd recommend a workshop visit, as it can be tricky to pinpoint the exact cause without proper diagnostics.

I have a Bravo as well. Overheating and bypass valve errors can sometimes be related, though the bypass valve error might be a consequential error from something else causing the overheating. Any coolant leaks or loss of fuel efficiency?
