Fiat Bravo Overheating Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Fiat Bravo diesel is experiencing overheating issues, with the check engine light on. Diagnostics indicate a problem with the active air flap electromechanism, specifically an open circuit in the control mechanism. A similar issue in another vehicle was resolved by replacing a faulty actuator, suggesting that a visit to a mechanic is necessary to prevent further damage.

Yeah, fault code for the active air flap control circuit. Says there's an open circuit in the control mechanism. Did your Astra do the same?

Yep, same fault code on my Astra. Ended up being a dodgy actuator. Best get it to a workshop, could cause some serious damage if you keep driving it like that.

Appreciate that. Looks like a trip to the mechanic then. They're estimating around 590€. Thanks for the help.

Sounds familiar. Had a similar cooling system headache with my 2016 Opel Astra. Check engine light and all. Was it throwing any specific fault codes related to the air intake?
