Hi, I have a 2018 Fiat Cronos with a gasoline engine and I'm getting a strange error. The on-board computer displays 'Active hood fault' and the airbag warning light is on. I've also checked the error memory and it confirms the fault. It seems like the spring actuators have been triggered. Has anyone experienced something similar?

I had something like that with my Cronos. Check your acceleration sensors. It's like when a smoke detector goes off because of low battery, but instead of smoke, it's a faulty sensor messing with the crash detection system.

Yep, same symptoms. I wouldn't mess with the sensors yourself unless you really know what you're doing. The airbags are involved, so better take it to a workshop to avoid accidentally deploying them.
