Fiat Cronos Mixture Preparation Error
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Fiat Cronos is experiencing a mixture preparation error, leading to diminished engine power, check engine light, rough running, jerking during acceleration, and frequent stalling at idle. The initial suspicion is a defective injector. Suggested solutions include checking the spark plugs, throttle body, oxygen sensor, and catalytic converter. A similar case was resolved by replacing blocked injectors, highlighting the importance of a professional diagnostic evaluation.

Could you elaborate on the specifics of the symptoms you encountered, and what fixed the issue?

Yeah, the symptoms were almost identical. Rough idle, stalling, the whole shebang. I spent ages trying to figure it out myself but eventually gave in and took it to a workshop. They did some diagnostics and confirmed it was the injectors, two of them were completely blocked. It's worth getting it checked out properly. Cost me about 515€ to get them replaced.

I appreciate you sharing your experience and the cost. I will consult with a technician for a comprehensive evaluation, including the injectors. Your insights have proven invaluable.

Hey, I had similar symptoms on my Fiat Cronos. I would recommend checking the spark plugs and throttle body first. Also, a faulty oxygen sensor can cause a rich mixture. A clogged catalytic converter could also be the the problem.
