Control module, huh? Interesting. You mean the ABS module itself? And did your symptoms include rough shifting?

Yes, the ABS module was the culprit in my case. Rough shifting was definitely part of it. Honestly, get it checked at a workshop. Could be a headache to diagnose yourself.

Thanks. Turns out it was indeed a faulty ABS module creating consequential errors. Weird. Got it sorted. No cost for the repair.

I had something similar with my old Saab. Traction control went nuts and threw the transmission into limp home. Could be a faulty control module messing with everything. Any diagnostic trouble codes?
