Fiat Doblo Belt Handover Problem
Summary of the thread
A 2023 Fiat Doblo owner is experiencing a problem with the belt-handover not functioning, potentially affecting engine performance. The issue is suspected to be with the belt bringer/handover itself. After checking the idler pulley and serpentine belt, the owner is unsure of the next steps. A suggestion is made that the belt tensioner might be the cause, even without any noise, and it is recommended to take the vehicle to a workshop for confirmation and repair.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

No, no weird noises that I can hear. It's more that the handover just doesn't happen, like it's stuck. So, you reckon it's the tensioner even without any noise? What exactly happened with yours?

Yeah, mine didn't make a peep either. It just... failed. Belt started slipping, things got rough. Honestly, I'd just take it to a workshop, man. Sounds like the same issue, and better safe than sorry. They'll know for sure.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop as you suggested. Turns out it was indeed the belt tensioner, just as you suspected. Repair cost me 455€ Appreciate the help!

Whoa, sounds familiar! I had something like that on my Doblo, I remember the belt tensioner giving me grief. Is it making any weird noises? It could be the tensioner pulley acting up. Really annoying, right?
