Fiat Doblo Fuel Pump Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2003 Fiat Doblo with a gasoline engine is experiencing starting issues, stalling at idle, rough running, and increased fuel consumption, with the check engine light on. The error memory indicates a fuel pump malfunction, leading to suspicion of a defective cable or plug connection. A suggestion was made to check the fuel pump relay, but the issue was ultimately identified as a corroded connector on the fuel pump, which was repaired at a workshop.

Interesting. I hadn't considered the relay. Where exactly is the fuel pump relay located in the Doblo, and how can I test it?

On my Astra, it was in the fuse box under the hood, but I'm not sure about the Doblo. I'd check your car's manual. Honestly, though, given the error code and symptoms, it might be best to have a workshop take a look. Could save you some time and potential headaches.

Thanks for the advice. I appreciate the suggestion about the relay, but you're right, I'll take it to a workshop. Turns out it was a corroded connector on the fuel pump itself. Repair cost me 95€.

That sounds familiar. I had a similar problem with my old Opel Astra. Same symptoms: engine stalling, check engine light, and rough running. Though the car was different, did you check the fuel pump relay? That was the culprit for me.
