Fiat Doblo Windshield Washer Heater Faulty

I'm having a weird issue with my 2022 Fiat Doblo diesel. I've got about 111086 km on the clock. Basically, the windshield washer heater seems to be faulty. I'm getting an error stored in the error memory, and the spray nozzles are frozen solid when the temperature drops. I suspect it might be a cable or plug connection problem. Has anyone else experienced something similar? I'm trying to avoid taking it to a mechanic if it's a simple fix, but I'm starting to think that's where I'm headed. Any ideas before I spend 95€?

Summary of the thread

A 2022 Fiat Doblo owner is experiencing a faulty windshield washer heater, leading to frozen spray nozzles in cold temperatures. The issue is suspected to be related to a cable or plug connection problem. Despite attempts to diagnose the problem independently, the owner concludes that a visit to a mechanic is necessary. The workshop confirmed the issue was indeed a defective cable or plug connection, with a repair cost of 95€.

Sounds familiar! I have a Doblo too. I had a similar problem with my windshield washer a while back, error code and all. It was a pain, especially during the winter. Did you check the washer motor itself? Sometimes they pack it in.

Yeah, I did give the washer motor a look, but everything seemed ok on the motor, and I didn't see any visible damage. I'm wondering if there's a specific wire or plug that's known to cause problems with the windshield heater element. Was your issue definitely the washer motor, or could it have been something else?

To be honest, I am not 100% sure what component caused the lack of function, but I know it was connected to the washer system. I ended up just taking it to the shop and letting them sort it out. Saved me a lot of headaches. If you have the tools and know-how, you might be able to trace the wires, but I decided it wasn't worth the hassle. Probably best if you take yours in too.

Okay, that's what I was afraid of! I was hoping there might be a simple fix I was overlooking, but it sounds like a trip to the mechanic is inevitable. I went to the workshop, and it was indeed the cable or plug connection that was defective, with the replacement costing 95€.
