Fiat Fullback Oil Pressure Warning
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Fiat Fullback owner experienced an oil pressure warning light and loud mechanical noises from the engine, suspecting low oil pressure. Possible causes considered were a faulty oil pressure sensor or worn engine bearings. Another individual with a similar issue suggested the oil pump might be failing, which was confirmed upon inspection at a workshop. The problem was resolved by replacing the oil pump.

Thank you for your reply. Can you elaborate on what exactly happened when your oil pump failed, and what steps you took to diagnose the problem?

Certainly. The low oil pressure warning was intermittent at first, then constant. The noises grew louder over time, just like a ticking time bomb. Initially, I suspected the oil pressure sensor, but further inspection revealed that the oil pump was not providing adequate pressure. There's not much you can do to diagnose it at home. I suggest taking your Fullback to a workshop immediately to avoid further engine damage.

Much obliged for the advice. I took the Fullback to a workshop, and it turned out to be the oil pump indeed. The repair cost 755€ Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

I had a similar issue with my Fiat Fullback - don't remember the build year right now. The symptoms sound very much like what I experienced when my oil pump failed. It's like your engine is a thirsty man dying from dehydration, and the pump is the only bottle of water he has.
