Thanks for the reply! Yeah, it's pretty consistent. It never connects. Sometimes the system seems to recognize my phone for a split second, but then it just drops the connection. Was your Volvo like that?

Spot on! Mine did the same damn thing. Flickered to life, then died a horrible, glitchy death. Look, I messed around with it for weeks, trying every 'fix' I could find online. Best advice I can give you? Save yourself the headache and take it to a proper shop.

Thanks a lot for the advice. I took it back to the mechanic and they sorted it. Apparently, it was just a software glitch needing a reset, and a slightly faulty bluetooth module. Cost me 45€ all in!

Dude, I feel your pain! I had a similar nightmare with my old Volvo. The infotainment system was a total basket case. I'm not saying it's the same issue, but the symptoms sound eerily familiar. Does it happen all the time, or just randomly?
