Okay, so under the seats, you'll find some yellow connectors – those are usually for the airbags. Disconnect the car battery first! Then, carefully disconnect and reconnect those yellow plugs. This might help clean off any corrosion. But honestly, with airbag systems, it's often better to take it to a workshop. If it's indeed a cable or plug issue, it shouldn't cost a fortune, around 95€ maybe.

Thanks a lot for your advice! I took it to a local mechanic, and it turned out to be a defective plug connection, just as you suspected. Cost me 95€, but at least the airbag light is gone now!

Hey, I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra. The SRS light was constantly on. Have you tried checking the connections under the seats? Sometimes those can get loose or corroded, causing the airbag system to freak out. It's a long shot, but worth a look before spending money.
