Summary of the thread
A 2009 Fiat Idea is experiencing a siren communication fault, resulting in a non-functional alarm. The suspected cause is a defective cable or plug. A similar issue was resolved by consulting a workshop, but inspecting the wiring and connections is suggested as a potential solution before seeking professional assistance.

Could you elaborate on what you mean by 'the alarm controller itself'? What specific symptoms did you observe, and what troubleshooting steps did you undertake to isolate the problem?

Yeah, exact same symptoms. Error code and no alarm. Never managed to fix it myself. Just went to the workshop.

I appreciate you sharing your experience. Given the repair cost of about 95€, addressing a cable or plug connection issue seems justified. I'll inspect the wiring and connections and seek professional help if needed.

I had something similar with my Idea. Was the alarm controller itself the issue?
