Fiat Idea Knocking Combustion

I'm at my wit's end with my 2012 Fiat Idea, gasoline engine. Only 27574 km on the clock! I'm experiencing some nasty knocking combustion, like the engine's about to throw a tantrum. Performance has tanked, jerks violently when I try to accelerate, and it's puffing out smoke when I put my foot down. Hooked it up to a code reader and yep, errors stored in the error memory. I suspect it might be deposits in the combustion chamber mucking things up. I've checked basics like ignition timing and even glanced at the knock sensor, but no dice. Anyone else wrestled with this beast?

A 2012 Fiat Idea with low mileage is experiencing knocking combustion, poor performance, violent jerking during acceleration, and smoke emissions. I drive an Idea too, and I had somewhat similar issues last year. Did you notice anything else, like rough idling?

Rough idling, hmm... not really. It's mostly when accelerating. What was the cause in your case? Maybe pointing me in right direction...

Yeah, mine was doing it all the time but especially noticeable when accelerating too. Honestly, I'm no mechanic. I took mine straight to a workshop.

Sounds like I'm heading to the workshop too. Turns out my suspicions were correct: carbon deposits galore. Had the cylinder heads cleaned. Cost me 425€ but she's running sweet as a nut now!
