Fiat Idea Sunroof Not Initialized Error
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Fiat Idea owner experienced a "sunroof not initialized" error, causing the sunblind and sunroof to be non-functional. The issue was suspected to be related to the car's coding. A suggestion was made to check the sunroof control module, typically located near the interior light or behind the headliner. The problem was confirmed to be a coding issue, and after reinitialization at a workshop, the sunroof was restored to working order.

Thanks for the reply. Where exactly is the sunroof control module located, and is there anything specific I should look for?

The sunroof control module location can vary slightly, but it's typically near the interior light or behind the headliner. Given the symptoms and the "not initialized" error, it's likely a coding issue as you suspected. You'd need diagnostic equipment to properly address it, so I'd advise taking it to a workshop.

Thanks for the advice. Took it to a workshop, and you were right – it was a coding problem. They reinitialized the sunroof, and it's working fine now. Cost me 75€.

I have a Fiat Idea as well, and I had a similar issue with the sunroof. The symptoms you describe sound very familiar. Have you tried checking the sunroof control module?
