Fiat Idea System Readiness Check
Summary of the thread
A 2007 Fiat Idea with a diesel engine displayed a system readiness check incomplete error, possibly triggered by using an OBD2 scanner. The issue was stored in the error memory and appeared on the speedometer. A suggested solution was to reset the computer, potentially by disconnecting the battery, or to seek a vehicle inspection. Ultimately, the problem resolved itself after a few drive cycles without incurring any cost.

How exactly did you reset the computer? I've read about disconnecting the battery, but I'm not sure if that's the right approach.

I never did it myself. I took it to a workshop. They told me it was related to the OBD readiness being incomplete and suggested a vehicle inspection.

Thanks, I appreciate the info. Turns out, the readiness check sorted itself out after a few drive cycles. The error disappeared. Didn't even cost me anything.

I have an Idea too, though I don't know if it's the same year. Sounds like what happened after I did a diagnostic check. Did you try resetting the computer?
