Fiat Mobi check engine light and fuel consumption
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Fiat Mobi is experiencing issues with the check engine light and increased fuel consumption. The suspected cause is related to the inlet VANOS mechanics, possibly due to a faulty solenoid or power supply problem. A similar case confirmed that a solenoid issue was the culprit, and taking the car to a professional for repair is advised.

Yes, there is a slight loss of power, especially when accelerating from a standstill. Did you manage to fix it yourself, or did you take it to a mechanic?

Honestly, I wasn't comfortable messing with the VANOS system myself. Took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was a solenoid issue. Saved myself a headache in the long run.

Thanks for the input! I was leaning towards taking it to a professional anyway. The estimate I got was around 250€, so it confirms that's the likely issue. Appreciate the help!

Hey, I have a Mobi too, though not sure about the year. I had similar symptoms – check engine light and the fuel economy went downhill fast. Did you notice any loss of power, especially at lower RPMs?
