Fiat Mobi Windshield Washer Heater Error
Summary of the thread
A 2018 Fiat Mobi is experiencing a persistent error with the windshield washer heater, causing the spray nozzles to freeze in cold temperatures. The suspected cause is a defective cable or plug connection, possibly indicated by slight corrosion. A similar issue in another vehicle required replacing the entire unit due to corrosion damage, suggesting a workshop visit for diagnosis and potential repair.

No burning smell, but now that you mention it, I did notice some slight corrosion on the plug connection when I last checked the washer motor. Was the fix straightforward in your case?

That sounds very similar. Unfortunately, the corrosion had damaged the heater element itself. I recommend you visit a workshop. In my case, they replaced the whole unit. Not cheap, but it solved the problem instantly.

Understood. Thank you for sharing your experience! I'll take it to the workshop. They quoted 95€ for diagnosis and repair, so hopefully, it's just the connection as suspected.

I had a similar issue with my 2016 Opel Astra. The windshield heater malfunctioned, and the nozzles were constantly clogged during winter. Was there any sign of a burning smell or visible corrosion around the washer motor?
