Fiat Petra Sunroof Not Initialized Error
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Fiat Petra diesel is experiencing a 'not initialized' error with the sunroof, causing the sunblind to be stuck and the convertible top to be unresponsive. The issue is suspected to be caused by recent coding that may have corrupted the sunroof control module's configuration. A workshop visit is recommended to recalibrate the module and resolve the problem, which successfully restored functionality.

The sunblind does not retract or extend. It's stuck. Is there a way to reinitialize the sunroof without special tools?

Given that the sunblind is completely immobilized, a simple reset might not suffice. The coding likely introduced inconsistencies in the module's parameters. Without diagnostic equipment to access and correct the module's configuration, a workshop visit is unavoidable to prevent further damage. Get the error memory read out.

Thank you for confirming my suspicions. I visited a workshop, and they recalibrated the sunroof control module. The repair cost 75€. Everything is working now.

It sounds like the coding has indeed corrupted the sunroof control module's configuration. This is a known issue after certain software modifications. Does the sunblind retract and extend at all, or is it completely immobilized?
