Fiat Petra Tire Pressure Error
Summary of the thread
A 2004 Fiat Petra owner reported a persistent 'tire pressure too low' error message on the speedometer, despite the tires being properly inflated. The issue was suspected to be a faulty tire pressure sensor, possibly due to a dead sensor battery. The solution involved consulting a workshop, where the faulty sensor was identified and replaced, resolving the error.

Thank you for your response. The error message remains, even after inflating the tires to the correct pressure. If it's the sensor battery, is replacing it a difficult task?

Given that the error persists, I would strongly suspect a sensor issue. Replacing the sensor itself isn't necessarily hard, but programming the new sensor to the car's computer often requires specialized tools. Really, wouldn't a workshop be the best option?

I appreciate your advice. It does seem best to consult a workshop. The diagnostic pointed to a faulty tire pressure sensor. Replacing it cost 280€, resolving the error. Thank you for pointing me in the right direction.

That sounds frustrating! I had a similar issue with my Fiat Petra. Could it be the sensor battery? Is the error message persistent, even after you've checked and inflated the tires?
