Fiat Sedici DPF Pressure Too Low
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Fiat Sedici with a diesel engine exhibited reduced engine power, smoke during acceleration, and a strong exhaust smell, with a warning light indicating low diesel particulate filter (DPF) exhaust pressure. The issue was linked to failed DPF regeneration cycles, likely caused by a defective exhaust back pressure sensor. Replacing the sensor resolved the problem.

Possibly, I'm not entirely sure. Is there a way I can confirm if it's related to DPF regeneration?

In my case, the reduced power and increased smoke during acceleration were definitely linked to failed DPF regeneration cycles. The most likely cause is a defective exhaust back pressure sensor. I'd recommend going to a reliable workshop, unfortunately.

Thanks for the advice! Indeed, I took it to a workshop that confirmed the defective exhaust back pressure sensor hypothesis. After replacing it, the problem was solved! The total repair cost was 245€. Thanks again!

I encountered a similar problem on my Sedici. Does it feel like it's struggling to do DPF regeneration?
