Fiat Siena fuel pump issue
Summary of the thread
A 2013 Fiat Siena diesel with 175,423 km mileage is experiencing issues likely related to a defective fuel pump. Symptoms include engine starting problems, stalling, rough running, increased fuel consumption, and an error code. The suspected cause is a defective cable or plug connection. A suggestion to check the fuel delivery and injector connections, along with the fuel pump circuit resistance, led to the discovery of a defective cable connection, which was repaired at a workshop.

Thanks for the quick response! Could you please elaborate on how you diagnosed the gasoline delivery and fuel injector connections? Were there any specific readings or visual cues that pointed you in that direction?

In my case, the readings from the fuel pump circuit were erratic. I also visually inspected the connectors for corrosion or damage. Given the symptoms and the potential cost of a new fuel pump, I'd advise a thorough check by someone at a workshop.

I had similar symptoms on my Siena. Check the gasoline delivery and fuel injector connections first. It could save you a costly fuel pump replacement. I would suggest checking the resistance of the fuel pump circuit.
