Fiat Siena Intake Air Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
The check engine light on a 2021 Fiat Siena indicated an issue with the intake air temperature sensor. This sensor can indeed cause such a problem if faulty. Potential causes include a defective sensor or issues with the wiring. The recommended solution is to have a mechanic inspect and possibly replace the sensor, which resolved the issue in this case.

I haven't checked the wiring. Where is the intake air temperature sensor located? How do I clean the sensor without damaging it?

Tampering with sensors can be tricky. The IAT sensor is usually in the intake manifold or air filter housing. I'd advise against cleaning unless you're sure of what you're doing. A faulty sensor is the most likely culprit. I'd recommend a trusted mechanic. In my case, sensor replacement solved everything.

The mechanic confirmed the intake air temperature sensor was defective. They replaced it, cleared the error code, and now my Fiat Siena is running smoothly again. Total cost was 155€. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I understand your frustration. I had similar symptoms in my 2018 Opel Corsa gasoline last year. Check engine light and sluggish engine. Diagnostic pointed to the mass airflow sensor (MAF). Did you check the wiring to the intake air sensor? Is the sensor clean?
