Fiat Ulysee Stalling Fuel Pressure
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Fiat Ulysee diesel was experiencing stalling at idle, loss of power, and a check engine light, with an error code indicating fuel pressure issues. The problem began after a fuel filter change, leading to suspicion of the fuel pressure regulator. After considering potential causes like a faulty pressure sensor or fuel system leaks, the issue was resolved by replacing the fuel pressure regulator, restoring the vehicle's performance.

Fuel efficiency is definitely in the toilet. Where exactly is the pressure sensor located on the fuel rail? Is it easy to get to? And what should I be looking for in terms of leaks – any telltale signs?

The sensor should be on the fuel rail, but honestly, if your fuel efficiency is shot, and you're seeing misfires maybe just take it to a workshop. Could be more than just the sensor. Save yourself the headache.

I appreciate the insight! Turns out it WAS the fuel pressure regulator. Swapped it out; cost me about 45€. Runs like a dream now. Thanks for the push in the right direction!

I had similar issues with my Ulysee. Check your pressure sensor and the fuel rail. Could be a faulty sensor or a leak in the fuel system somewhere. Is your fuel efficiency also down?
