Fiesta engine stalls fuel level sensor fault

I've got a 2009 Ford Fiesta diesel with about 140k km on the clock and I'm having a weird issue. The check engine light keeps coming on, and the engine occasionally stalls at idle. I scanned the error memory and there's a fuel level sensor fault. Anyone seen this before? Could it be a simple fuse issue, if there even is one for that?

Hey! I had something similar happen with my Fiesta, though it's a newer model. Was your fuel gauge acting erratically too? Did you try anything yet to fix it?

The fuel gauge seems okay, actually. Just the light and the stalling. You mentioned a similar issue - did yours stall as well, and how did you end up resolving it?

Yep, mine stalled too, and sometimes it struggled to start. Honestly, after checking a few basic things, I just took it to a workshop. They sorted it out pretty quickly. Might be worth doing the same!

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local mechanic, and it turned out to be a faulty fuel level sensor as suspected. Cost me 52€ to replace. Running smoothly now!
