Fiesta reduced engine power

Hey, I've got a 2016 Ford Fiesta diesel that's throwing up a fault code. Mileage is at 76581 km. The car feels like it has reduced engine power, and my auto scanner says there's an error stored. I'm thinking it might be related to a dodgy chip tuning job done a while back. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

I had a similar issue with my Fiesta. Reduced power and a check engine light that wouldn't quit. Did the tuning involve any modifications to the ECU?

Yeah, I think they did remap the ECU. Did you ever get to the bottom of what was causing it on your car? What did it end up costing you to fix?

Yup, ECU remap was the culprit in my case too. Sounds like the tuning could definitely be the cause. I'd recommend getting it checked out at a reputable workshop that knows their way around Fords and ECUs. They'll be able to properly diagnose and potentially revert the tuning or fix whatever damage it's caused.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to a workshop, and you were spot on. The chip tuning was the problem. They had to re-flash the ECU. Cost me 180€, but it's running like new now!
