Fiorino central locking failure
Summary of the thread
The central locking system of a 2010 Fiat Fiorino failed, with neither the key fob nor the interior switch functioning. An error code related to the central locking system was detected, but fuses were intact. The problem was suspected to be due to defective wiring or connections rather than faulty actuators. A thorough inspection revealed a corroded connector in the door jamb, which was cleaned and re-secured, resolving the issue.

Thanks for the quick reply! I had a quick look at the wiring in the door jamb, but didn't see anything obvious like a broken wire. Are there any specific connectors I should be focusing on? Or a common spot where these Fiorinos are known to have wiring issues for the central locking?

I understand your concern. The issue could stem from corrosion or a loose connection, which may not be immediately apparent upon visual inspection. Considering your vehicle's age and the error code present, it is advisable to consult with a qualified workshop possessing the appropriate diagnostic tools. They can perform a comprehensive electrical system check to pinpoint the precise location of the defect. This may include testing the continuity of the wiring harness, inspecting the central locking module, and verifying the integrity of the door lock actuators. I believe the error in the error memory points to a deeper problem.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to a local shop, and you were spot on - corroded connector in the door jamb. They cleaned it up and re-secured everything. Cost me 95€.

Based on the symptoms you describe, and the error code stored in the memory, a defective cable or plug connection is the more probable cause than a faulty actuator. Before replacing any components, have you performed a thorough visual inspection of the wiring harness and connectors associated with the central locking system, particularly in the door jamb areas where the wires are subject to repeated flexing?
