Fit IAT sensor issue
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Honda Fit hybrid is experiencing a check engine light and power loss, with a diagnostic tool indicating a fault with the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor. The issues include rough engine running, which could be attributed to the defective IAT sensor. A similar past experience with another vehicle suggests that the IAT sensor could indeed be the cause. Replacing the faulty IAT sensor resolved the problem, restoring the car's performance.

The diagnostic tool said 'Intake Air Temperature Sensor Defective'. I'm just surprised that one little sensor could cause so many issues. Was it definitely the IAT sensor on your Megane?

Yep, turned out to be the IAT sensor. Symptoms were almost identical. I'd say it's worth getting it checked out properly at a workshop. Could be something else, but the sensor is a good place to start given the error code.

Thanks! I appreciate the insight. I took it to a mechanic, and you were spot on! The IAT sensor was indeed faulty. Cost me 155€ to replace, but the car is running perfectly again.

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my old Renault Megane, although it wasn't a hybrid. The check engine light and power loss were definitely there. Did the diagnostic tool specifically say it's the sensor, or just give a general error code?
