FiveHundred Oil Sensor Error

I am furious. My 2005 Ford FiveHundred with a gasoline engine is showing an oil level sensor error. The speedometer displays an error message and warning light, plus the oil pressure lamp illuminates. Error codes are stored too. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection. Has anyone seen this?

I had a similar problem with my FiveHundred. Is the oil level actually okay when you check it manually?

Yes, the oil level is fine when I check it with the dipstick. So you're saying you had the same error messages and warning lights even with enough oil?

Exactly. All the same symptoms. Given that the level is ok, it's likely a faulty sensor or wiring. I'd suggest a workshop visit to confirm.

Thanks, that confirms my suspicion. I went to the workshop. It was indeed a defective cable, and after a 95€ repair everything is back to normal. Thanks for your help!
