Hey, thanks for your help! My Leon is also quite new, currently has 17020 km on it. Everything was tiptop at the last inspection, so the shotgun is still on target. Do you have any advice on which mechanic I should visit? I'm always undecided as to whether I should go to a specialist garage or an independent one. Something unplanned like that is just annoying, isn't it?

Hi again, oh man, I know exactly what you mean, it's really annoying when something unplanned like that happens. But hey, don't worry, your Leon is still really fresh with only 17020 km. I still think it's a problem with the electrics, perhaps also with the cable connections like mine. As far as the garage is concerned, I can tell you that I always go to a specialist garage. Yes, it's sometimes a bit more expensive, but I prefer to be on the safe side and know that they know exactly what they're doing, especially with my Seat. An independent garage can be quite good, but personally I feel better knowing that specialists are working on it. But that's just my opinion and experience, everyone has their own philosophy. I hope it's nothing serious and that it can be resolved quickly and easily for you. Good luck and keep me posted!

Hello and thanks again! Yes, it really is a bit annoying but I guess that's life. You're right, a repair like this is all about safety and I think I'll follow your advice and visit a specialist garage. I really appreciate your help and will definitely keep you posted. Bye!

Hi, I had a similar problem with my Seat Ibiza (2017, petrol engine). I only have a bit of car knowledge, but I took it to the garage anyway. The mechanic said that the cable connection was faulty. It cost me 110 euros to get it fixed. Could you perhaps give me more information about your vehicle? Maybe then I can help you better.
