Fluence blower motor failure

I've got a 2011 Renault Fluence electric with 104951 km. The fresh air blower's packed it in. Doesn't work at all, but there's an error stored. Reckon it's just a dead blower motor?

Sounds familiar! Had a similar headache with my old Volvo V70. Blower motor problems can be tricky. Did you check the electrical wiring and the fuse? Sometimes it's not the motor itself, but a power supply issue. Have you inspected the HVAC system controls?

Hmm, electrical wiring... hadn't thought that far. You reckon it's worth digging around there before just slapping a new motor in?

Speaking from experience, yes! In my case, the Volvo ended up needing a new resistor in the blower motor circuit. Before you spend money, have a workshop check the electrical components. Otherwise you might end up with a new blower motor and the same problem.

Cheers. Dropped it off at the workshop; they confirmed it was the blower motor, plus labour came to 365€. Annoying, but at least it's sorted.
